Shure is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Spectrum & Regulatory Affairs to play a pivotal role in securing the future of wireless audio. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence international regulations and standards that align with Shure's strategic goals. This role is remote or hybrid, and based out of our Niles, IL location.

Responsibilities
  • Helps define and implement Shure’s spectrum & regulatory strategy.
  • Engage with national regulators like the USA Federal Communications Commission, Brazil Anatel, lawmakers, and industry organizations in Latin America, USA and Canada.
  • Represents Shure in international organizations like the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Mobile Broadband Standard (3GPP) and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
  • Partners with engineering and product management to create regulatory roadmap and productization plans.
  • Works with internal and external counsel on filings, meetings, and discussions to educate and advocate on spectrum policy and rules for current and future technologies
  • Works with the internal public relations team on press releases and statements.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in engineering and/or product development.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory work and/or standards development.
  • Extensive knowledge of RF communication systems.
  • Good analytical, communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Be able to work in a globally distributed team.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $142,400 - $242,100. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
