What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Develop and lead new business captures for space payloads, including team building and win strategy development
  • Engage with customers and industry partners to understand requirements and ensure compliance
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders to produce high-quality proposals
  • Create and deliver presentations and white papers to influence capture strategies
  • Manage resources, including staffing and new business funds, to support capture activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years’ experience in the space industry in either technical or programmatic roles, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • 3+ years as a capture manager with USG customers pursuing contracts valued at least $50M
  • Experience leading teams to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule constraints
  • Experience developing and delivering proposal elements and executive-level briefings
  • Experience interfacing with USSF, IC, and/or NASA/NOAA customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Master's Degree or higher in an Engineering or Business discipline
  • 15+ years of work experience in the space industry with significant capture and proposal experience
  • Prior experience developing space payloads or key elements of space missions
  • Direct space acquisition experience within the USG or National Labs
