Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D is seeking an Associate Director, Signal Detection Scientist for a hybrid role based in Titusville, NJ, or nearby offices in Raritan, NJ, or Horsham, PA. You will lead aggregate surveillance strategies for proactive detection of safety signals from post-marketing data.

The role requires 3+ years in pharmacovigilance, strong data-analysis skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings to cross-functional teams. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ pharmacovigilance or drug safety experience.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical/patient-care experience preferred.
• Understanding of global health authority regulations for adverse events.
• Experience with FDA FAERS, WHO VigiBase, EMA EudraVigilance data sources.
• Proficiency in Excel; SAS JMP experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; ability to lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new safety signals by systematic reviews of aggregate data.
• Signal detection in safety platforms including Empirica Signal.
• Prepare reviews and summary analyses of safety data.
• Provide recommendations for further signal evaluation.
• Collaborate with Medical Safety Officers and Safety Scientists to develop surveillance plans.
• Participate in matrix teams to address product safety issues and signal evaluation.
• Communicate findings from signal detection activities.
• Assist in programmatic surveillance of adverse event reports.
