Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an Associate Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead revenue recognition, contract accounting, and financial reporting for the commercial sector consulting practice. You will ensure ASC 606 and US GAAP compliance while partnering with project finance, contracts, pricing, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA preferred, with extensive accounting and audit experience in professional services.
• At least 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue and contract accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition and technical accounting for the commercial sector consulting practice.
• Evaluate ASC 606 for contracts, identify performance obligations and transaction price.
• Assess principal vs. agent considerations for subcontracting and teaming arrangements.
• Support segment finance in contract accounting decisions and new awards/modifications.
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal controls over revenue processes.
• Provide training and guidance on revenue concepts and contract compliance to project teams.
