Job summary

The Primary Care Research Institute (PCRI) within the University at Buffalo seeks an Associate Director of Research Development to expand funding opportunities and coordinate proposal development. You will support investigators and community partners in crafting competitive proposals and oversee grant submissions to advance PCRI's research mission.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and five years of health planning or grant development experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, education, public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Five years of qualified experience in health planning, grant development, or research.
  • Experience must include demonstrated people skills.
  • Working understanding of research design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, evaluates, and disseminates funding opportunities aligned with priorities and funding requirements.
  • Leads coordination of proposal development among PCRI investigators and teams.
  • Collaborates to support project planning, budgets, and budget justifications for proposals.
  • Coordinates preparation, review, and submission of grant and contract proposals.
  • Assists in identifying partnerships that support funding opportunities and project development.
