Qualifications

• PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology or related field with postdoc/industry experience.
• 10+ years of protein expression, purification, and characterization experience.
• Experience expressing and purifying membrane and intracellular proteins; multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead protein-science strategies for challenging targets including membrane proteins.
• Design and optimize expression/purification workflows across platforms (mammalian, insect, bacterial, yeast, cell-free).
• Develop scalable approaches for poorly behaving proteins; guide construct design and buffer optimization.
• Establish purification workflows and perform analytical studies to assess identity and purity.
• Interpret analytical data (SPR, MS, SEC-MALS) and communicate findings to teams.
• Mentor and develop a team of protein-science scientists and researchers.
