Job summary

RTX in North Texas seeks an Associate Director for Terrain Following Radars within the STaRS program area, reporting to the Executive Director. This onsite role drives strategy, affordability, and on-time delivery across lifecycle phases, with a focus on growth and customer alignment.

The role requires extensive program management experience and strong leadership across engineering, contracts, finance, and supply chain, with domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Program management experience leading development, transition to production, or sustainment programs.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and technical performance with EVMS/IMP/IMS and related processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, contracts, finance, procurement, manufacturing, quality and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and EAC inputs.
  • Coordinate interactions between customers and primes to align objectives.
  • Develop and execute program growth strategies for domestic and international expansion.
  • Represent customer needs to leadership and senior stakeholders.

Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director for the Terrain Following Radars Program Area reporting directly to the Executive Director of Surveillance & Tactical Radars Solutions (STaRS). This is a highly visible program area within the Radio Frequency Solutions business unit in Advanced Products and Solutions working primarily with a government customer on products in all facets of the product lifecycle (production, sustainment and new development).

You will be expected to set strategy, vision and direction for successful execution focused on overall product affordability, product integrity, and on-time deliveries to enable near, mid, and long-term business growth. This role is onsite in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do
  • Accountability for profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and EAC inputs
  • Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other primes
  • Develop and execute program growth strategies for domestic and international growth
  • Understand and represent customer needs to leadership
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
  • Responsible for managing risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance
  • Expected to support domestic travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Program management experience leading development, transition to production, production and/or sustainment programs
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Program Management Level 3 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience working with U.S. Army, Navy, or other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
  • Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
