Purpose And Job Summary

Lument provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors, and healthcare real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and strategic solutions such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, direct balance sheet lending, investment sales, and mergers & acquisitions.

Reporting to a Managing Director, the Associate Director is responsible for soliciting, reviewing, and structuring potential loans across all product types offered at Lument, as well as building relationships with internal and external clients and industry professionals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Solicit, review, and structure potential loans for all product types.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with lenders, owners, developers, and borrowers to secure new loans.
  • Market loan products including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, to potential borrowers, including non-profit and for-profit owners and market-rate housing.
  • Achieve production goals and expectations.
  • Travel to client offices and learn about their markets.
  • Develop soft quotes for potential products.
  • Prepare application letters for agency and other loans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on materials for conferences, meetings, mailings, and website.
  • Assist in designing new loan programs or improving existing ones.
  • Maintain records of client interactions and follow up on expiring loans for additional business opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and Lument.
  • Represent Lument at conferences, events, and meetings.
  • Manage transactions from origination to closing, advocating for borrower clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products.
  • Work professionally with team members and other staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role involves frequent contact with all levels of employees and management, as well as outside partners, vendors, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of experience in commercial mortgage banking or lending.
  • Knowledge of Agency and proprietary lending products.
  • Successful sales experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Argus, and other relevant software.
  • Experience in commercial lending across the country, with relationship-building success.
  • Strong understanding of financial tools and funding sources for affordable housing.
  • Excellent relationship-building and external-facing skills.
  • Strategic thinking and community development insight.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
Additional Information
