Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.

Position Description:

Lilly recently acquired a state-of-the-art parenteral manufacturing site located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This new site will further expand Lilly's global parenteral (injectable) product manufacturing network and support increased demand for the Company's medicines. This position will initially support site readiness from a procurement perspective (including the coordination of key procurement and sourcing activities as well as the establishment and management of vendor/supplier relationships) and will transition to be responsible for ongoing procurement activities once the site is operational.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  1. Develop strong understanding of the site and ensure that the procurement strategy aligns with the site’s key operational, performance, and supply objectives. Communicate consistently with site leadership to ensure this alignment is maintained.
  2. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Lilly’s Global Procurement organization as well as counterparts at other Lilly sites.
  3. Establish and manage relationships with local site suppliers (including negotiations) while integrating global suppliers into the site’s supply chain.
  4. Support Lilly’s supplier diversity initiatives.
  5. Establish, maintain, and update master supply agreements for which the Kenosha County site is the lead site or key influencer. Leverage expertise and guidance from Global Procurement and align with global strategies.
  6. Lead supplier relations management activities for strategic third-party suppliers. Drive action items, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
  7. Seek out and implement quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost savings projects with suppliers. Consolidate and present captured and forecasted site savings, in alignment with Global Procurement methodology.
  8. Make and/or support decisions regarding quality of materials/suppliers and resolution of material/supplier issues, while maintaining high-quality supplier relations.
  9. Conduct benchmarking analysis to evaluate market landscape for supported categories.
  10. Work with Global Procurement and Site Finance to establish strong business cases for the formation of new supplier relationships and for the establishment of new service lines with existing suppliers.
  11. Form and maintain close working relationships with demand planners and buyers as appropriate to ensure supply continuity, security, and integrity while optimizing processes and minimizing waste.
  12. Partner with buyers/planners to ensure that materials data (e.g., safety stock needs, pricing) are accurate and updated on the most appropriate basis.
  13. Ensure compliance with Lilly procurement and financial policies and procedures, and regulatory commitments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or similar field.

Additional Preferences:

  • Previous supply chain, manufacturing, and/or procurement experience (at least seven years preferred).

  • MBA
  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing specific experience/knowledge.

Other Information:
