Job summary

Tucson Medical Center seeks an Associate Director of Procedural Services to lead and oversee perioperative services, including Pre-Op, PACU, Surgery Scheduling, GI/Endoscopy, and PAT. You will coordinate with anesthesia, nursing, scheduling, sterile processing, and ambulatory leadership to optimize access, throughput, and patient experience.

The role requires nursing or healthcare leadership expertise, with a focus on staffing, safety, quality, and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
• Progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience.
• Experience leading or supporting managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of hospital operations, workforce management, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and performance accountability to assigned managers and department leaders.
• Establishes operational goals, performance measures, and communication expectations.
• Conducts leadership rounding and reviews staffing, safety, quality, and patient flow.
• Resolves complex operational and resource issues beyond the manager level.
• Partners with HR on manager development, recruitment, retention, and performance concerns.
• Oversees staffing, productivity, and budget considerations to support workforce planning.
• Contributes to capital planning, strategic projects, and resource allocation.
• Represents services on committees and organizational initiatives.
