Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, analytics, or enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Experience delivering reporting, dashboards, or analytics products using agile practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Working knowledge of BI platforms, data visualization, analytics, SQL, and modern software development methods.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for performance reporting capabilities, dashboards, and analytics within PRIME.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, UX, and Data teams to deliver scalable reporting products.
  • Drive product discovery, sprint planning, release management, UAT, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor adoption, quality, user satisfaction, and outcomes to identify enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, platform standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as day-to-day product owner for assigned capabilities and lead cross-functional ceremonies.

The role partners with business stakeholders, analytics, engineering, UX, and data teams to deliver trusted reporting products, actionable insights, and intuitive user experiences that enable data-driven commercial decision-making.

Summary

Reporting to the Director, PRIME Product Lead, the Associate Director, Performance Reporting Product Owner is responsible for owning the roadmap, delivery, and continuous enhancement of performance reporting capabilities within the PRIME platform. The role partners with business stakeholders, analytics, engineering, UX, and data teams to deliver trusted reporting products, actionable insights, and intuitive user experiences that enable data-driven commercial decision-making.

The ideal location for this role is East Hanover but remote work may be possible (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific East Hanover for periodic live meetings will be at the employee’s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require 10% travel.

  • Monitor product adoption, reporting quality, user satisfaction, and business outcomes to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Ensure reporting products align with enterprise data governance, platform standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the day-to-day product owner for assigned reporting capabilities and facilitate cross-functional product ceremonies.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, business intelligence, analytics, or enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Experience delivering reporting, dashboard, or analytics products using agile product management practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence platforms, data visualization, analytics, SQL, and modern software development methodologies.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience supporting commercial reporting, enterprise analytics platforms, or AI-enabled reporting products.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
Novartis Compensation Summary

The salary for this position is expected to range between $138,600 and $257,400 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
