Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ, is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist (Associate Director) in Outcomes Research for Hematology. You will support GI-related value evidence, manage cross-functional studies, and prepare dossiers for HTA submissions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in health services research or related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience post degree.
• Doctoral degree preferred in relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the value evidence team in GI cancers and contribute to value evidence strategies for in-line and pipeline products.
• Critically assess drivers and barriers to reimbursement and market access, and provide input into clinical, regulatory, payer/access, marketing and evidence generation strategies and programs.
• Design studies, author study protocols, develop measurement questionnaires, case report forms, data analysis plans, final study reports, scientific presentations, and publications.
• Responsible for study-related contracting, budgets, and vendor/partner management.
• Develop AMCP dossiers for US payers, and Global Value Dossiers.
• Develop supplementary clinical data package for HTA submissions.
• Support country affiliates to understand local evidence generation needs and adapt health economic evaluations.
• Communicate outcomes research data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of new scientific and methodological developments in the therapeutic area.
• Build relationships with scientific experts worldwide.
• Present outcomes research data at national and international congresses and publish articles.
