Letsdo this.Letschange the world. In this vital role, you will serve as the dedicated Orchestration Engine business lead for Amgensdiverse portfolio, helping brand teams shape more relevant, coordinated customer experiences across channels.
Reporting to the Director, End-to-End Capabilities Orchestration Engine, you will translate portfolio and brand priorities into clear business requirements, governed decision logic, and scalable orchestration capabilities. You will partner with brand teams, Decision Sciences, Technology, CRM, CDP, content, channel, and vendor teams to design and deploy capabilities spanning Next Best Action, audience activation, customer journey orchestration, and workflow automation.
You will act as the business product owner for the assigned portfoliocoordinating brand engagement, use-case definition, requirements,deploymentreadiness, and adoption. You will ensure that individual brand needscontributeto reusable enterprise orchestration capabilities and decisioning patterns rather than isolated, one-time solutions.
Through strong business partnership and matrixed leadership, you will help embed intelligence into Marketing workflows and enable Amgen to deliver the right action, to the right stakeholder, at the right time.
This role is a Flexible Commuter role to one of two U.S. sites, Thousand Oaks, California, or Deerfield, Illinois. You will work on-sitea minimum of three days per week.
Serve as the primary Orchestration Engine partner for assigned portfolio and brand teams.
Partner with brands to define desired cross-channel customer experiences andidentifyhigh-value orchestration opportunities.
Translate portfolio priorities into a sequenced backlog of NBA, audience activation, journey orchestration, and workflow use cases.
Assess opportunities based on business value, customer and patient impact, readiness, feasibility, and potential for enterprise reuse.
Identifycommon requirements across brands and translate them into reusable decisioning patterns and activation capabilities.
Translate brandobjectivesand customer journey needs into business requirements, user stories, decision rules, and acceptance criteria.
Define how data, analytics, AI-generated recommendations, business rules, and human judgment should come together in operational workflows.
Co-design orchestration capabilities with Decision Sciences, Technology, CRM, CDP, content, channel, and vendor partners.
Define eligibility criteria, prioritization requirements, workflow handoffs, approval points, and business guardrails.
Ensure recommendations are relevant, explainable, compliant, and actionable within Marketing workflows.
Represent portfolio requirements whilealigning toenterprise Orchestration Engine standards and architecture.
Provide business ownership from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and optimization.
Coordinate brand participation in workshops, requirements validation, user acceptance testing, and release readiness.
Partner with Technology and vendor teams to resolve requirements, dependencies, risks, and implementation decisions.
Coordinate rollout and adoptionplanswith brand, Marketing Operations, andchange-managementpartners.
Drive adoption of Orchestration Engine capabilities across the assigned Marketing organization.
Gather user feedback and translate learnings into product, workflow, and roadmap enhancements.
Help extend successful capabilities efficiently acrossadditionalbrands and use cases.
Apply enterprise standards for NBA, decision logic, audience activation, journey orchestration, and human-led decision-making.
Ensure business rules, eligibility criteria, prioritization logic, andapprovalworkflows are documented and governed.
Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Privacy, Compliance, and other control functions as appropriate.
Define success measures for assigned orchestration use cases.
Monitor adoption, recommendationutilization, workflow performance, and business impact with analytics partners.
Use performance data and stakeholder feedback to improve decisioning patterns and customerexperiences.
Serve as the bridge between brand stakeholders, Decision Sciences, Technology, activation teams, and vendor partners.
Lead matrixed teams throughrequirementsdefinition, design decisions, testing, deployment, and adoption.
Communicateportfolioroadmap progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, and impact.
Translate analytical, AI, and technical concepts into clear business implications and actionable recommendations.
Balance portfolio-specific needs with enterprise scalability and reuse.

Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience in Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Analytics, Product Management, or a related function
OR
Masters degree and 5 years of experience in Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Analytics, Product Management, or a related function
OR
Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience in Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Analytics, Product Management, or a related function
OR
Associates degree and 12 years of experience in Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Analytics, Product Management, or a related function
OR
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of experience in Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Analytics, Product Management, or a related function
Experience partnering directly with pharmaceutical brand teams and commercial stakeholders.
Understanding of brand planning, omnichannel Marketing, customer engagement, and commercial workflows.
Experience acting as a business product owner or product lead, includingrequirementsdevelopment, backlog management, testing, deployment, and adoption.
Experience translating customerjourneyneedsintoscalable workflows and business capabilities.
Familiarity with NBA, CRM, CDP, audience targeting, marketing automation, content platforms, or channel activation.
Experience operationalizing analytics, machine-learning outputs, or AI-generated recommendations within business processes.
Ability to distinguish brand-specific needs from reusable enterprise capabilities.
Experience driving adoption of new platforms, tools, or workflows across Marketing teams.
Understanding of governance, privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements in life sciences.
Demonstrated ability to lead matrixed teams spanning business, analytics, Technology, operations, and external vendors.
Strong structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to translate technical and analytical concepts into clear business requirements and recommendations.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
