The Montefiore Associate Clinical Director of Nursing maintains standards of practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.
Assists in directing the daily activities of a designated clinical function to ensure that business goals and objectives are achieved. Develops and implements policies and procedures, prepares and monitors the budget, and manages staff. May serve as the Director in their absence.
This position is accountable with the Clinical DON for the overall management of activities in a Care Center to ensure that quality, compassionate, culturally competent, effective and efficient patient care is delivered in compliance with the standards and regulations of the Montefiore Health System and Regulatory Agencies.
Accountable with the Clinical DON, Nursing Executive Leadership Staff and Members of the Nursing Executive Council in a shared governance model to plan, develop, implement and evaluate the scope of practice for nursing service staff, nursing professional practice standards and patient care outcomes.
