The Role:
Prospect Schools is seeking an organized, flexible, and mission-driven Associate Director of School Operations to join us in support of our growing network of schools. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. This person will report directly to the Director of Operations and be responsible for acting as a secondary leader of the school’s operations team and maintaining excellence in the school’s systems for safety, communications, and student information.
Job Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Create and maintain systems to sustain the functionality and aesthetics of the school facility, including partnering with our external custodial and security services vendor
With the Director of School Operations, support work on the school budget to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting
Ensure school systems are built with an eye for equity for students, families, and staff
Design and lead regular professional development sessions around operational priorities
Act as the primary point person for all operations and logistics related to interim and standardized assessments, including schedule creation, class groupings, tech support, staff training, etc.
Data and Accountability:
Partner with the Director of School Operations to ensure that the school has strong and efficient systems for managing systems such as budget management, staff attendance, assessment administration, and more
Ensure that staff members are clear on their respective roles and responsibilities, and that structures are in place to hold staff members accountable to meeting them
Provide regular academic achievement updates to the school leadership team and to the network
Student Systems and Technology
Create and manage a system for student technology (ie. Chromebook) distribution, troubleshooting, and tracking
Act as the primary point of contact for staff and students in need of tech troubleshooting, and escalate issues to the IT Team as needed
Finance & Procurement
Maintain and train staff on the school’s systems for procurement and financial management
Field all staff purchasing requests through the Certify platform
Ensure that invoices sent to the school are processed in a timely and accurate manner

Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Close alignment with Prospect Schools’ mission
A minimum of 3 years of operational experience is required, preferably in a school environment
At least 1 year of leadership experience strongly preferred, preferably in operations or an adjacent field
Strong project management skills across a variety of disciplines
Collaborative spirit and skill
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
A minimum of a bachelor’s; master’s highly preferred

Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role. The salary range for this role is from $82,000-$106,991.
