A Design-Driven Boutique Hotel in New York's Meatpacking District Located among the cobblestone streets, galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and cultural landmarks of Manhattan's Meatpacking District, Dream Downtown combines bold design with thoughtful hospitality and distinctly New York energy. The hotel's iconic stainless-steel façade and porthole windows honor its history as the former National Maritime Union headquarters. Inside, guests discover loft-style accommodations, distinctive event spaces, elevated dining and nightlife, attentive service, and a signature glass-bottom pool. Just steps away, guests can explore the High Line, Whitney Museum, Chelsea Market, Little Island, and the Hudson River waterfront. With its dynamic mix of art, culture, food, fashion, and nightlife, Dream Downtown places guests at the center of one of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods.

The Assistant Director of Sales (ADOS) is a senior-level sales leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM). This role is designed for an experienced hospitality sales professional who is ready to expand their leadership capabilities and prepare for future advancement into a Director of Sales & Marketing role within a lifestyle hotel environment. A primary responsibility of this position is to carry, personally own, and achieve a Major Market group sales quota. The ADOS is expected to develop and convert Major Market group business, manage the related sales pipeline, and deliver measurable production against assigned group revenue goals while supporting the broader hotel commercial strategy. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, disciplined sales execution, and the ability to foster trusted relationships across the hotel and in the marketplace. The ADOS serves as a bridge between commercial strategy and operational execution, ensuring alignment across teams and delivering exceptional client and guest experiences.

  • Develop and execute account plans for high-value group accounts, including strategic prospecting, client engagement, site inspections, presentations, entertainment, and follow-up.

  • Provide strategic guidance on rate, date, space, concessions, and contract commitments for group opportunities.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts while developing, entertaining, and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

  • Assist the Sales team in achieving individual and annual revenue goals while remaining accountable for personal Major Market group production.

  • Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and site inspections that showcase the hotel's unique offerings.

  • Utilize brand promotions, marketing initiatives, sales programs, and available resources to maximize business opportunities.

  • Monitor travel industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.

  • Represent the hotel through community involvement, networking events, customer entertainment, industry organizations, trade shows, and business travel.

  • Conduct performance discussions and support colleague development plans and performance management initiatives.

  • Organize and lead sales meetings and participate in hotel leadership meetings as required.

  • Serve as Acting Director of Sales & Marketing in the absence of the DOSM.
