The Power & Controls Supply Chain Organization has a leadership opening for our Procurement Leader supporting the machining commodity. As our Associate Director, you will responsible for all aspects of supply chain management, with an emphasis on driving continued improvement in supply chain integration and performance.You will be in a leadership role, with direct and indirect reports at multiple locations.
This is a hybrid role (combination of in office and remote work) that requires weekly onsite presence at our Windsor Locks, CT site. Other Power & Controls locations may be considered for a preferred candidate. Anticipated travel is 25% - including both domestic and international travel.
What You Will Do
Maximize operational performance by instilling a forward-looking approach in procurement, pro-actively identifying supply chain delivery gaps with the use of MRP systems (SAP / Supplier Portal), and leveraging the appropriate teams to drive throughput of product deliveries into the factories to support flawless execution to our customers.
Integrate supply chain activities across regional supplier development, strategic commodity, transition management, planning, and procurement teams to ensure that systemic supplier deficiencies are well communicated and addressed prior to any business impact.
Lead account management activities to ensure strong working relationships with all suppliers / partners. This includes ensuring performance of the supporting team’s seamless processing of purchase orders, YOY cost savings, and burndown of overdue MRP elements (aged receipts, payments, etc.).
Present (on a daily basis with impromptu briefings) supply chain topics internally and externally with customers, while interacting with senior leadership at the SBU and Collins level.
Instill continuous improvement enhancements aimed at flawless execution of supply chain strategic and tactical support to our production sites.
Interface with the Central Business Process Management Team to ensure the Power & Controls business unit is tied into the central development and implementation of best practices across the enterprise.
Collaborate with central Supplier Performance and Commodity Management teams to ensure resources and support for critical priorities within the Power & Controls business unit.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior Senior Supply Chain or Procurement Leadership experience within the aerospace industry or similar manufacturing environment
Working understanding of Aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of export/ITC regulations and policies is preferred
Advanced degree preferred
PMP, APICS or ISM certification(s)
Experience with SAP and ARIBA
Able to travel 25% of the time, including internationally

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
