Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive fleet maintenance solutions, is seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director of Fleet Operations to lead a key team in the National Account Solutions (NAS) segment. This is a critical leadership role that will drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and profitability while fostering a culture of innovation and customer-centricity.

As the Associate Director of Fleet Operations, you will oversee field operations, managing a team of over 100 professionals, including Senior and Regional Operations Leaders, Fleet Managers, Field Technicians, and a dedicated Program Manager reporting directly to you. You will hold full P&L ownership, ensuring financial accountability and driving sustainable growth. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, HR, IT, and Amerit’s executive leadership, you will align operations with ambitious business objectives, optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver unparalleled customer satisfaction.

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $150,000-155,000, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of safety, transparency, and innovation, serving as a role model and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Develop and execute the talent management strategy, including succession planning, training, and career development programs to build a pipeline of skilled operational leaders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to leverage enabling technologies, streamline workflows, and enhance data-driven decision-making
  • Serve as a strategic business partner, aligning operations with the segment's growth initiatives and exploring new service models and value propositions
  • Ensure strict adherence to operational processes and procedures, driving excellence in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency
  • Ensure incoming repair orders are received, scheduled, completed, and closed according to client and business needs
  • Monitor and analyze key KPIs for the day-to-day operation to ensure the team is executing efficiently.
  • Manage the P&L, optimize technician utilization, and oversee inventory and third-party spend to drive profitability
Key Competencies and Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably in the fleet management, logistics, or transportation industries
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • A customer-centric mindset and a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams
  • An innovative, agile, and resilient mindset, thriving in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations
  • Transportation and/or fleet management experience of a mid to large size fleet
  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
