Position Summary

Penn State seeks a frontline fundraiser for the role of Associate Director of Development to engage alumni and friends supporting Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA), a Big Ten member.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Advancement, responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and cultivating prospects among alumni and key constituencies;
  • Communicating Penn State’s needs and values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion;
  • Planning and executing solicitation strategies for major gifts;
  • Traveling regionally and nationally to build relationships and meet fundraising metrics.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in securing major gifts and achieving fundraising goals;
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse communities;
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams;
  • Commitment to professional development and mentorship.
Additional Information

Flexible work arrangements are supported, subject to meeting unit needs. The position is based at University Park, State College, PA, a safe and vibrant community.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience. No certifications are required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $68,200 - $102,300. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount.

Other Details

Employment requires background checks and a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
