A leading health care center seeks a Community-Based Research Facilitator to develop a research program focused on health equity and community engagement. This full-time remote position involves partnering with diverse communities to promote participatory research methods and improve community health outcomes. Candidates must hold an advanced degree and have experience in community-based research.
OBJECTIVE/OVERVIEW:
Community-University Health Care Center's (CUHCC) mission is to transform care and education to advance health equity. The Community-Based Research Facilitator will develop and manage CUHCC's community-based research program that aligns with CUHCC and community needs and improves community health outcomes and ensure strategic and clinical research initiatives are successful at CUHCC to align with its mission and strategic priorities.
TYPE OF POSITION:
This is primarily a remote position that requires flexibility to attend occasional in-person meetings, community events and research activities when necessary.
This is a grant funded position, with initial funding expected to cover three years with potential for expansion.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
May provide work direction to independent consultants/temp casuals/students/volunteers.
Reports to the Director of Community-Based Research.

CUHCC serves nearly 11,000 patients a year through over 55,000 visits annually. The patient population comes from over 12 different racial and ethnic groups that span five continents. CUHCC's mission is to seek health equity in our community by advancing the well-being of diverse people. Candidates must be able to adapt behaviors to others' styles; interact with people who have different values, cultures, or backgrounds; be of service to difficult people; optimize the benefits of having a diverse workforce.

Candidates must be able to share due credit with coworkers; display enthusiasm and promote a friendly group working environment; work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and solicit opinions from coworkers; display team spirit.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; read and interpret complex information; talk with customers or clients; listen well.
Staff is expected to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction; deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $86,500/annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience
