Associate Director, National Video Investment - Temporary

Location: Remote

Temp role: ASAP - 12/31/25

The Associate Director’s role is managerial, but also one of agency leadership. This individual assists in running a video team and their responsibility extends from oversight of their assigned clients to staff management and development. This person aids in setting the style for the group and is responsible for the video investment activity for the assigned accounts.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Video Investment and Execution
  • Oversee negotiations and expenditures of all national video budgets
  • Maintain marketplace expertise across all television mediums
  • Oversee integration of media neutral negotiations
  • Be knowledgeable of clients business model and goals to best ensure their media is working towards growth
  • Continue to develop relationships with key media vendors
Client & Internal Relationships
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at all levels
  • Manage expectations of client and their deliverables
  • Accurately represent the client’s point of view when reviewing work, leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
  • Grow business opportunities within current clients
  • Establishes strong internal relationships with other service line heads
Strategic Thinking & Leadership
  • Oversee the Video Investment team activities
  • Demonstrate problem solving and intervention when necessary
  • Insure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
  • Actively keep current with industry trends, media tools – buying systems, research, resources and associations
  • Construct and deliver accurate, honest and timely performance management documents
  • Provide guidance to team members and nurture/promote team environment
  • Train, motivate and develop assigned staff
Communications Skills
  • Establish and maintain communications process with clients, media teams, creative, etc. for each piece of business within the team
  • Adapt communications style to relevant audience
  • Link communication to audience’s concerns and perspectives
  • Communicate key information about our company
Experience/Knowledge Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6-8 years of video investment experience
  • Proven leadership ability – managed a team of Buyers and Supervisors
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The hourly pay range for this position is $44.13 - $71.65. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
