Job summary

ASU Foundation for a New American University seeks an Associate Director of Development to lead fundraising and engagement for the W.P. Carey School of Business.

You’ll build and manage a major gifts portfolio, coordinate with university leadership, and cultivate donors at $50,000+ levels to fuel strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate across campus, prepare compelling proposals, and use Salesforce to track progress while ensuring stewardship of donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree program.
• Four (4) to six (6) years of successful professional development and/or fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated ability in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other private funding sources.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in managing events and complex activities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic fundraising and engagement efforts to drive donor retention, reactivation, acquisition, and pipeline growth.
• Manage a personal major gift/prospect portfolio with gifts at or above $50,000.
• Collaborate with ASU Foundation and university leadership to solicit annual, major, and planned gifts.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and collateral for significant philanthropic investments.
• Record contacts and proposals in Salesforce and coordinate donor strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with deans, chairs, directors, and faculty.
