Guidehouse’s Life Sciences practice seeks an Associate Director to lead project teams across pharma, biotech, medical devices and diagnostics. You will shape product planning, pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies while ensuring client satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related field; advanced degree/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years in life sciences industry (pharma/biotech/medical tech) and strategy consulting.
• Subject matter expertise in product planning, market access, pricing & reimbursement, and regulatory/compliance.
• 3+ years leading project engagements with budget, scope and timelines.
• 3+ years of team management and mentorship.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the US up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated project teams from cultivation to completion, ensuring high quality client-ready deliverables.
• Develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets; guide multiple projects concurrently.
• Support sales initiatives and practice development; collaborate with Directors and MDs.

Associate Directors are responsible for managing projects from cultivation to completion. In this role, you will lead the activities of the designated project team and support the day-to-day management of the client relationship. You will effectively develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your work products are high quality and client-ready. In this visible role, you’ll lead team meetings and guide, manage, and coach staff consultants, providing constructive feedback on their project participation and overall career development. You will also collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors, keeping them abreast of project progress and important developments. You will also take part in sales initiatives and practice development. Travel is project dependent but averages 30 percent.

++What You Will Need:++

• BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related course of study, advanced degree/PhD preferred.

• 8 plus total years of relevant life science industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, specialty pharma and/or medical technology) and strategy consulting experience.

• Must have subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas as it pertains to life sciences: product planning and development; market access, pricing & reimbursement; product commercialization; franchise & business unit strategy; corporate strategy; regulatory & compliance.

• 3 plus years leading project engagements which includes planning, scoping, budget development, management and resource allocation, and managing multiple or more complex projects within scope, timeline and budget.

• 3 plus years formal management of team performance to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.

• Must be willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30% of the time.

• Demonstrated success formally supervising, coaching and mentoring junior level staff including ownership and guidance of their career development.

• Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
