What You’ll Do
25 % - Strategic Planning & Leadership
Guide the team in translating client goals into strategic media solutions that grow our client’s brands and ensure strategic consistency across all elements of plan development and implementation, ensuring a fully integrated approach
Collaborate with the VP on strategic marketing approach, guiding translation of client goals to the Business Solutions team, activation teams, consumer insights teams and media partners
Ensure team is following internal and external processes and cadences for streamlined and timely workflow
Oversee final reporting analysis of campaigns alongside other internal teams, ensuring data is accurate , presenting findings to client
Build strategic frameworks for all plans and lead presentations
Help lead the team’s understanding of client’s business and uncovering of motivations/needs
25 % - Team Management & Supervision
With leadership and support from senior leaders, manage the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Business Solutions and Investment team to ensure consistent and high-quality client deliverables
Provide ongoing, real-time, performance feedback to ensure continued team growth
Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensure team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills
Conduct junior team members’ performance reviews, coaching to maximize success
Promote the work of both junior and senior team members, set a positive team environment
Participate in the interview process for junior team members
Provide education and training on best practices, media principles, and industry at large
Responsible for leaning into Horizon Media initiatives while encouraging junior team members to participate and engage within the larger integrated community
20% - Client Relationship Development
Maintain positive rapport and champions trust with the client
Tap into Horizon resources/tools and collaborate with partner and creative agencies to offer clients holistic business solutions
Anticipate client requests, guide team in troubleshooting and problem solving with internal resources to proactively provide solutions
Act as client’s “go-to ”, having a leading voice i n meetings and providing POVs
10 % - Relationship Management
Continue to have core clients, industry partners and other internal departments recognize you as a lead voice for the account
Serve as conduit for strategic leadership to both senior level (directors and above) and junior counterparts (supervisor and below)
Showcase anticipation and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
Apply knowledge of current/ previous clients’ specific business and relationships within the industry to enhance plan negotiations and opportunities
Build relationships across Horizon Media departments ( i.e. Operations, Analytics, Social Marketplace/Programmatic), building trust and accountability
Act as primary resource for junior team members when faced with challenges navigating conversations with internal and external partners and clients
Act as day-to-day resource for client team to ensure prioritization of projects, understanding of goals and media that aligns with objectives to drive client business
10% Int egrated Media Buying
Plan, execute and steward integrated media plans
Guide team to leverage Horizon Media’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications within linear & digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge to campaign strategy and client goals
Work with Supervisor to oversee junior team members and manage expectations with integrated leadership in the creation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions
Negotiate across digital landscapes and work with activation/buying teams on establishing principles for buy details
Provide final sign off on RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, act as point of escalation for partner negotiations and stewardship of key partnerships
Act as a primary resource for team as they work through the planning process, while providing strategic guidance
5% - Reporting & Analysis
Act as escalation point for junior team members as they work through optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across linear, display, social and video
Encouraging junior team members to draw thoughtful, data-based conclusions that illustrates the ‘why’ behind performance, and maps back to integrated strategy
Collaborate with Business Solutions and Analytics team to establish measurement plans and learning agendas
5% - Account Management
Oversee all client requests, troubleshoot and problem solve with internal teams to proactively provide solutions
Engage with senior level leads on investment teams to ensure successful campaign execution, issue plan deliverables to client
Ensure all billing and financial deliverables are accounted , accurate and delivered on time.

Preferred Skills & Experience
6 + years of experience of in media planning/strategy and/or digital planning/buying
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to Clients
Leadership and supervisory experience in terms of developing media professionals, including strategic and management skills
Strong grasp of marketing principles, analytics and media trends
Expert in negotiating and constructing integrated media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation
Strong experience navigating cross-department relationships

Salary Range
$105,000.00 - $135,000.00A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.
