Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director of Instrumentation to lead field instrumentation and control systems across major GMP facilities. This role establishes standards, guides design strategies, and oversees commissioning with internal teams and external EPCM partners.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in field instrumentation and controls in process industries.
• Experience supporting large capital projects ($500M+).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior design authority for field instrumentation and control devices.
• Lead instrumentation teams and oversee engineering contractors' design activities.
• Establish standards and execution strategies for field instruments and control devices.
• Ensure integration between devices, PLC/DCS/SCADA, and MES systems.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and startup readiness for projects.
