Job Summary

This leadership role supports the operation of Food & Nutrition Services at Mayo Clinic Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN. The Associate Director of Food and Nutritional Services oversees all foodservice activities, including patient care, retail, cafeteria, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, and infection control. This position is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial manager eager to innovate and improve business practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure client and customer satisfaction while managing costs effectively.
• Lead safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs, maintaining excellent relationships with patients, clients, and hospital departments.
• Promote professional development within the team.
• Foster strong inter-departmental relations and align the foodservice department with the hospital's operational plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. plus three years of relevant experience.
• Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian certification.
• 1-3 years of hospital or adult care experience, depending on education/training.
• 3-5 years of foodservice management experience, including inventory and purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, sanitation, food costs, and presentation.
• Experience with P&L management or contract services is desirable.
• Excellent supervisory, leadership, communication, and financial skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• ServSafe Certification.
