Job Summary

The Associate Director of HCP Marketing – Rare Renal will report to the Director of HCP marketing and be an integral member of the launch team to support the company mission of defying limitation, so that others can too. This critical position has been designed for an experienced marketer who will take on the responsibility of executing pre and post launch initiatives.

This role will create meaningful impact for patients, HCPs and other critical players in the nephrology/immunology and rare disease arena. It requires strong cross-functional leadership and communication to ensure successful execution in support of strategies fueling a new product launch.

This position is based in Princeton, New Jersey. Otsuka maintains a hybrid work policy and travel is expected 30% of the time based on business needs.

Job Description

  • Lead HCP omnichannel strategy and execution for a new product launch including media strategy, website development, analytics and reporting, and execution. Will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to lead through scenario planning and key dependencies of launch.

  • Lead Non-Personal Promotion strategy and execution, in collaboration with other functions. Lead analytics and reporting and make trade-off recommendations.

  • Oversee congress strategy (national and regional), planning and execution, and cross-functional collaboration as well as overall campaign and messaging materials development, implementation, and follow-up assessment and analysis for continuous improvement.

  • Support other launch activities that may include development of field facing tactics for launch.

  • Lead agency team members to drive completion of projects through PRC on-time and on-budget.

  • Ensure all activities meet all state, federal, and industry corporate compliance standards.

  • Develop strong partnership with all cross-functional team members.

  • Become an expert on the clinical trial data, the marketplace, and HCP customers.

  • Contribute and generate ideas and strategies as result of external insight gathering (through market research, advisory boards, sales input/interactions, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS and 5+ years of healthcare marketing experience or related experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record in nephrology and/or rare disease brands specifically within HCP marketing.

  • Strong influencing without authority and emotional intelligence skills; capable of working through ambiguity and thriving in a fast, high-pressure environment.

  • Proven advanced analytical skills, project management, and financial acumen skills.

  • Strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills and proven ability to drive efficiencies across a matrix team.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive external agencies and vendors

  • Experience in launching brands or highly competitive therapeutic rare disease areas.

  • Previous experience in leading digital marketing & media projects.

  • Experience working on a product/s with a specialty pharmacy distribution.

  • Sales and/or sales training experience or market access experience.
