THE JOB / Associate Director of Global Communications and Publicity
Calling all sports and entertainment-obsessed storytellers with experience in PR, Media Relations, and Marketing! We are looking for a dynamic media professional, publicist, and marketer to work as our Associate Director of Global Communications and Publicity.
In this role, you will support Communications & PR efforts across Octagon’s sports and entertainment focused network of agencies including Octagon, Rogers & Cowan PMK, FRUKT, Futures Sport & Entertainment, and No 2nd Place to amplify agency and client focused initiatives, as well as generate positive publicity and editorial coverage for our agencies, divisions, executives, staff, clients, and campaigns.
You will work across multiple categories and platforms – earned media, social media, awards, and more - to lead projects that generate positive press and attention. As well as bring creative ideas, unique insight, and flair into agency content generation and publicity efforts.
As a communications and media relations expert, you will work directly with the Senior Vice President of Global Communications, as well as other senior leaders, to tell the ever-evolving story of Octagon, R&CPMK, and more. Amplifying the award-winning work and insights of the agencies, offices, employees, and our partners worldwide.
In addition to pitching and working with media to secure earned media placements, the Associate Director of Global Communications will manage Octagon’s digital platforms to ensure our websites and social channels consistently spotlight our best and most high-profile efforts and achievements. Additionally, this position will lead and support internal communications efforts, including newsletters, media and publicity reports, and awards calendars.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Based on an annual salary of $100,000 – $110,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with thecompany (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background,pertinent experience, and qualifications.
