Job summary

Sanofi in Cambridge, MA seeks an Associate Director of Forecasting for Dermatology to lead long-range and in-line forecast development for Dupixent's US Dermatology portfolio. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of direct forecasting experience in pharma/biotech; advanced degree optional with 3–4 years experience.

  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills; Excel expertise required.
  • Proven strategic thinking with understanding of pharmaceutical landscape; experience in relevant therapeutic areas a plus.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources and US payer/insurer environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in applying data science methodologies; VBA or programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term patient/volume/revenue forecasts for the US Dermatology portfolio for annual planning and budgeting.
  • Harmonize forecast cycles across US Specialty Care forecasters and cross-functional partners.
  • Enhance models to reflect brand direction, segmentation, and patient flow.
  • Plan and design studies with Market Research to inform forecasts (demand studies, conjoint analyses).
  • Incorporate latest access assumptions and payer mix analyses; calculate rebates.
  • Use external forecasts and analogue analyses to stress-test assumptions when needed.
  • Develop forecast scenarios to quantify risks and opportunities.
  • Present forecast assumptions and outputs to leadership across US Dupixent and Global teams.
  • Collaborate with Finance to deliver forecast review presentations; align with Global guidance.
  • Provide monthly performance updates and near-term outlooks with analytics input.
  • Deliver end-of-month closing analyses with price/volume and demand/inventory.
  • Revise near-term forecast with leadership on opportunities/threats.
  • Engage with brand leads to review updates and provide data-driven insights.
  • Ensure SKU-level forecasts support monthly supply planning and S&OP meetings.

As Associate Director, Forecasting – Dermatology within our I&A team, you will be responsible for leading commercial forecasting activities for Dupixent's US Dermatology portfolio as part of the Sanofi US Specialty Care Business Operations organization.

In this role, you will be an integral partner to the US Dupixent Commercial team, developing short and long-range sales forecasts for in-line and future Dermatology indications while providing strategic insights on potential threats and opportunities. This position is based in Cambridge, MA and will report to the Director, Forecasting – US Dupixent.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with US Dupixent Dermatology team and cross-functional partners to develop, document, and communicate accurate long-term patient/volume / revenue forecasts for annual Strategic Planning & Budget cycles.
  • Collaborate with US Dupixent Finance & other US Specialty Care forecasters in forecast cycle planning to promote harmonization across therapeutic areas.
  • Support model enhancements to ensure forecasts for in-line & launch products reflect strategic direction of each brand (e.g., segmentation, patient flow, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Market Research to plan & design studies that provide key forecast inputs (e.g., demand study / conjoint exercises).
  • Partner with Market Access to incorporate the latest access assumptions, conduct payer mix analyses, and calculate government program obligatory rebates.
  • When necessary, use resources such as analogue analyses & external forecasts (e.g., syndicated / analyst reports) to pressure-test assumptions.
  • Develop forecast scenarios to quantify potential risks & opportunities.
  • Contribute to US Dupixent leadership reviews by explaining key Dermatology forecast assumptions & outputs, from epidemiology through ex-factory volumes.
  • Partner with US SPC Finance team to develop & deliver forecast review presentations for US Dupixent Commercial, SPC NA, & SPC Global leadership.
  • Work with Global Dupixent forecasting to ensure that US deliverables align with Global guidance and properly integrate with the Global forecast aggregation process.
  • Provide monthly updates to US Dupixent leadership on performance and near‑term forecast outlook, integrating latest actuals, analytics, Market Research, CI, etc.
  • In partnership with Analytics & Finance colleagues, provide key end‑of‑month closing deliverables (i.e., price / volume & demand / inventory analyses).
  • Collaborate with Commercial & Finance leadership to revise near‑term forecast, accounting for latest actuals & emerging market opportunities/threats.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc meetings with US Dupixent Dermatology brand leads to review key updates, monitor areas of focus, and proactively provide data-driven insights.
  • Work with Finance and Demand Planning to ensure the most appropriate forecast (by SKU) is delivered for monthly supply chain planning activities.
  • When necessary, attend S&OP meetings to speak to forecast variances or events (e.g., launches, new indications, new devices).
  • Design, conduct, and communicate ad‑hoc analyses that leverage forecast models to answer key business questions, e.g., co‑promotion potential or ROI analysis.
  • When necessary, collaborate with US Dupixent Marketing, Sales, Patient Support Services and Finance teams to assess the value of proposed initiatives.
  • Deliver and present analyses to US Dupixent / Sanofi SPC leadership, including break‑even analyses or assessments of return‑on‑investment.
  • Collaborate with Data Management, Analytics, and external data providers to conduct periodic reviews of key model inputs to ensure forecast accuracy.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of direct forecasting experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Candidates with an advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD) and a minimum of 3-4 years of direct forecasting experience may be considered.
  • Strong business acumen, with well‑developed communication & presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills, with demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain short and long‑term forecast models; Microsoft Excel expertise required.
  • Proven strategic thinking ability, with deep understanding of the pharmaceutical / biotech landscape; experience working in relevant therapeutic areas is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry data sources (e.g., IQVIA anonymous patient‑level data, IQVIA syndicated reports, internal patient services & specialty pharmacy data, etc.) and US payer / health insurance environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, with a track record of delivering exceptional results.
