Linde Inc. in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an Associate Director of Finance to lead financial planning and analysis for global helium and rare gases operations. You will partner with controllers, oversee forecasting, variances, and strategic initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in finance/accounting, strong US GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and advanced Excel/BI skills. You will interact with senior leadership, manage large data sets, and drive process improvements with cross-functional teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA a plus.
• 10+ years' experience in Finance or Accounting Analysis.
• Experience with financial systems (JDE, OBIEE, Hyperion). SAP experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; Access knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with the Global Helium & Rare Gases Controller to identify risks, forecast, analyze variances, and communicate trends to senior staff.
• Collaborate with Shared Services and Corporate functions to ensure reporting compliance and correct accounting treatment for transactions.
• Manage financial analysis of business and product-line initiatives, including data mining and opportunity identification with actionable recommendations.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of BI initiatives to enhance reporting systems, quality, and timeliness for decision making.
• Coordinate with productivity and digitalization teams on projects around accounting standardization across regions.

What you will enjoy doing*

• Partner with the Global Helium & Rare Gases Controller to identify business and financial risks, prepare financial forecast, analyze financial variances, monitor and manage key business drivers of financial results, appropriately communicate business trends and results to senior staff
• You will work closely with Shared Services and Corporate functions to ensure business unit reporting compliance and appropriate accounting treatment for our business transactions
• Manage financial analysis of business and product-line initiatives including data mining/opportunity identification in order to provide recommendations that support objectives
• You must also be able to manage large data sets for financial analysis and must demonstrate the pro-active desire/ability to bring process improvement to the role
• You will lead evaluation and implementation of business intelligence initiatives (tools/process) that enhance reporting systems, quality and timeliness for optimal business decisions
• Liaise with productivity and digitalization teams on projects around accounting standardization tools to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for various transactions within each region

What Makes You Great

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, MBA a plus
• You have a minimum ten (10) years' experience in Finance or Accounting Analysis
• Proven experience working independently/autonomously
• You have experience with and knowledge of financial systems (JDE, OBIEE, Hyperion). SAP experience is a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; Basis knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Experience working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with a high sense of urgency, drive to achieve and 'no-excuses' mentality
• You have the ability to operate at a strategic level and deep dive into the details as required. High doses of organization, discipline, rigor, self-motivation, and appetite for closure.
• Ability to analyze a breadth of data for relationships and in-depth understanding in order to influence financial plans and continuous improvement
• Communication and Collaboration skills - Both verbally and in writing with managers, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
