Job summary

Jobtailor in Florham Park, NJ, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to partner with Commercial and Medical teams, perform financial analysis, and support product and marketing initiatives.

The role requires 6–8 years in finance, a Finance or Accounting degree (MBA preferred), and strong experience with GAAP, SOX, JDE, TM1, and PowerPoint. On-site work 2–3 days per week is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial and Medical business partners and participate in finance activities.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Medical teams by providing financial analysis and support for product and marketing initiatives.
• Lead comprehensive variance analysis versus previous year, budget, and Latest Estimates.
• Prepare written business analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Finance Directors, make suggestions and mitigation recommendations, and develop performance metrics.
• Support month-end close and accrual processes for Commercial functions.
• Ensure proper expense recognition and manage allocations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Support preparation of performance reviews and formal financial packages for senior management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Support preparation of product P&Ls and Commercial expense reports.
• Assist in communicating results to business leaders.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding product supply and wholesaler inventory management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting


• MBA preferred


• Previous finance experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical technology industries is required


• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of finance experience, including forecasting, variance analysis, month-end close processes, and preparation of financial packages


• Launch experience highly preferred


• Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis in a company with complex business strategies


• Solid knowledge of financial processes, general ledger systems (JDE) and financial planning systems (TM1)


• Expertise in presentation tools such as think-cell and PowerPoint


• Analytical experience across Sales, Supply Chain (for Cost Control) and Product Management


• Flexibility to adjust work hours to meet financial deliverables


• Strong understanding of SOX and GAAP


• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiating with business stakeholders, approaching business leaders with difficult messages, and defending positions


• Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity


• Excellent written and oral skills


• Must live a commutable distance to the US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ


• Must be able to work on-site a minimum of 2-3 days per week
