Job summary

The European Union Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks an Associate Director to teach courses, advise MAEUS students, oversee the graduate program, manage budgets, staff, and provide strategic guidance for EUC initiatives.

Responsibilities include coordinating advising, leading grant development, and supervising center staff while fostering collaboration with LAS, the Graduate College, and international partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in international studies and programs or related fields.
• Demonstrated international experience such as studying, teaching or conducting research abroad and/or in Europe.
• Minimum of one year of experience in administration, fiscal and/or grant management, personnel oversight, and academic program management.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and advise MAEUS students, oversee the graduate program, and manage budgets and staff.
• Identify and pursue external funding opportunities; write grant proposals and ensure grant compliance.
• Coordinate MAEUS academic advising and conduct progress reviews; act as Director of Graduate Programs.
• Provide administrative leadership of the EUC office and co-lead center programming.
• Develop and strengthen relations with other European Centers and external partners.
