Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, U.S. Ethics & Compliance Advisor, Medical Affairs, reporting to the Senior Director/Director. The role is hybrid and onsite in Foster City, CA, focusing on healthcare compliance across Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners.

You will lead the design and delivery of ethics trainings, assess compliance risks, and collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Data Ethics teams to ensure operations meet regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or fully qualified legal credentials preferred.
• Experience in biotech/pharma or other highly regulated industries; in-house experience preferred.
• 7–9+ years of Compliance experience; strong people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide ethics and compliance expertise for Medical Affairs.
• Partner with Legal, Commercial, Medical, Clinical Development to embed the compliance program.
• Advise on ethics insights and stakeholder outreach and policy development.
• Develop trainings to enhance ethics and compliance understanding.
• Identify compliance risks and support mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with Privacy and Data Ethics teams on data privacy and cyber laws.
