A leading financial institution in Virginia seeks an experienced Associate Director to enhance capital markets activities and mentor junior associates. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in corporate banking and 3 years in equipment finance. Position Description
The Associate Director (the "Associate Director") acts as a vital teammate to the Managing Director of Capital Markets to: identify, develop and strengthen relationships among the Bank's peer banking and financial institutions; identify and pursue financing transactions that meet the underwriting criteria of the Bank; present potential transactions to the Bank in a professional manner; and to assist in the syndication of transactions to manage exposure and generate fee income. The Associate Director will be expected to have sufficient credit skills and background to be able to source transactions that fit the parameters of the Bank and to be able to advocate internally with senior credit and underwriting officers of the Bank. In addition, familiarity with equipment financing documentation, operations and pricing is critical to the success of the position.
The Associate Director should be highly motivated to meet and exceed budget requirements and to have an adaptable personality to manage the intricacies of the position.
This position reports to a senior leader within Equipment Finance.
