Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or health-related field, marketing, or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in clinical trials/drug development or broader pharmaceutical industry.
  • Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical drug/device development process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management tools and processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and deliver to timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with representative groups and individuals.
  • Demonstrated organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Prior experience managing complex/cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of clinical drug development processes and task/function interdependencies.
  • Experience working at and/or with clinical research investigators and representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence team members and extended team members toward a common goal.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve key technical, operational, or business problems.
  • Ability to drive and generate innovative solutions to increase clinical trial access for representative populations.
  • Minimal travel required (10-25%).

Responsibilities

  • Identify and operationalize innovative approaches, vendors, and third-party solutions supporting recruitment and retention of representative patient populations
  • Accelerate clinical trial enrollment and improve retention across clinical trials
  • Partner across Patient Engagement, Clinical Capabilities, and CDDA to execute therapeutic strategies
  • Oversee content and vendor performance, share best practices, and resolve issues
  • Provide financial oversight, evaluate performance, and adjust or stop approaches that do not meet expectations
  • Promote efficiency, quality, inspection readiness, and timely delivery while influencing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Operationalize clinical trial recruitment and retention strategies across therapeutic areas
  • Drive execution of therapeutic and clinical trial strategies using goal-setting frameworks, innovative recruitment and retention approaches, and patient-facing content
  • Collaborate with Clinical Capabilities and CDDA representatives to create, implement, and measure diversity strategies
  • Apply community-based research capabilities to increase clinical trial access for representative populations
  • Identify innovative capabilities, vendors, and third parties and establish KPIs to monitor performance
  • Ensure culturally sensitive, health-literate deliverables, including recruitment content and investigator/site educational materials
  • Maintain and expand relationships with patient groups and professional organizations
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines, best practices, and applicable global regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement by understanding patient, caregiver, and investigator needs
  • Lead cross-functional communication and shared learning
