Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking an Associate Program Director for Early Learning to lead and scale high-quality early-learning and family-literacy initiatives.

This role blends local implementation with statewide technical assistance, helping schools, early childhood centers, community organizations, and university partners design and execute effective early literacy programming for Pre-K through Grade 3.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Human Development & Family Studies, or closely related field.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in educational, early childhood, or community-based settings.
• Direct Early Childhood & Literacy Practice in PK–Grade 3.
• Experience coaching adults (tutors, educators, volunteers).

Responsibilities

• Lead PK–K and family literacy programs and scale tutoring.
• Develop and maintain instructional materials and guides for tutors, families, and partner sites.
• Train, coach, and support tutors and educators.
• Monitor implementation, gather feedback, and refine models.
• Coordinate regional efforts for statewide capacity-building and partnerships.
