Rider University invites applications for the Associate Director for Stewardship & Annual Giving. This role develops comprehensive donor stewardship strategies to foster engagement, inspire generosity, and strengthen long-term relationships with alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations.

The Associate Director serves as primary steward for scholarship donors, supports recognition programs, impact reporting, and timely donor communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; typically 3–5 years in advancement, donor relations, stewardship, annual giving, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage donor relationships and implement stewardship programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to produce high‑quality donor correspondence and reports.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with relational databases; Raiser's Edge preferred; Banner a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Commitment to confidentiality, data integrity, and ethical fundraising practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary steward for scholarship donors and support broader stewardship initiatives.
• Ensure donors experience timely, personalized communications and see the impact of their philanthropy.
• Collaborate with University Advancement, Finance, Financial Aid, and Marketing & Communications.
• Support donor recognition, impact reporting, and acknowledgment programs.
• Back up for gift processing within Advancement Services and assist with annual giving stewardship and acknowledgment efforts for Rider Fund.
