Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the Associate Director of the Texas Center for Disability Studies (TCDS) within the School of Social Work, Pickle Research Campus. You will join the leadership team to guide UCEDD and LEND programs, collaborating with faculty, staff, partners, and people with disabilities.

The role emphasizes strategic, administrative, and programmatic leadership, budget oversight, fundraising, and supervision of staff and interns.

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, education, psychology, public health or related field.
At least 5 years of management experience.
Experience with UCEDD and AUCD collaboration.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience serving as PI or Project Director.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with local and national partners on project and funding initiatives.
Generate external funding through federal, state, local, and non-profit sources.
Serve as PI or provide other support on projects as appropriate.
Manage project budgets and expenditures in collaboration with TCDS financial administrator.
Supervise staff and interns, including evaluations and mentoring.
Coordinate with the CAC and maintain stakeholder communications.
