Job Description

Associate Director, Digital Investment (Hybrid)

Well-established, award-winning agency in NYC is searching for an Associate Director, Digital Activation to join their team. This is a growth opportunity within an agency that offers a progressive office culture with many internal promotions and benefits, including unlimited PTO and remote work reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution across digital campaigns focused on paid social, paid search, and programmatic advertising, driving performance through strategic execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Provide clear strategic direction to develop and implement plans and tactics that are continuously optimized to meet key business objectives and KPIs.
  • Lead and manage a growing team of digital channel specialists, fostering a collaborative, learning-oriented environment while offering consistent leadership and support.
  • Engage with clients to build strong relationships, understanding their business goals and marketing objectives, especially in paid social. Present campaign performance and strategy regularly to clients.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of campaign performance reports, sharing insights with internal teams to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Ensure forecasting and budgeting for all channel activities are carefully managed and optimized for maximum efficiency.
  • Facilitate the development of standard methodologies to improve operational processes within the team and agency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and account teams to design and execute fully integrated digital campaigns.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, diligence, and adherence to best practices throughout every stage of the campaign lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of relevant digital media investment experience, including programmatic, paid search, paid social, and Retail Media Network experience is a plus, from either an agency or client-side.
  • Extensive client-facing experience with a proven track record in relationship management.
  • Prior experience managing and mentoring a team, including training and developing junior staff, acting as a coach and leader.
  • Proficiency in providing high-level insights and analysis across KPIs and other performance metrics.
  • Deep knowledge of digital media platforms and their advertising capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Passion for staying current with digital marketing strategies, trends, and best practices.
  • Strategy and execution experience with The Trade Desk, Google Ads, CM360, Meta, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
