KPMG is seeking an Associate Director, Cyber Architecture and Engineering to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security strategy; leverage extensive knowledge of IT security and architecture to create and implement comprehensive security strategies for GCP and workbench, ensuring alignment with firm goals and addressing evolving threats.
- Support security operations and incident response by providing expert knowledge of GCP in activities such as incident response, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation; assist with identifying insecure or vulnerable configurations, reviewing security changes, and ensuring robust security monitoring.
- Oversee the integration of GCP and Workbench security tooling, automations, and processes to create a unified security monitoring and response system.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity practices and technologies, mentor team members, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and provide thought leadership in security monitoring and incident response with GCP.
- Drive automation and orchestration to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security monitoring and response processes; document processes and procedures via playbooks and reference guides.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal technology teams and security vendors to ensure strategy alignment; promote collaboration and standardization across technology groups, serving as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight years of recent experience in security architecture, with a focus on GCP and security tooling integration; deep technical expertise across multiple domains, including incident response.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications such as CISSP and Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer are also preferred.
- Experience leading and managing IT security resources or projects, defining and reviewing security standards, and familiarity with security regulations like NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Ability to influence in a matrixed environment, develop resource and project plans, and manage budgets.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills; ability to lead and set goals for a team.
- Proven ability to develop high-performance teams and engage with all organizational levels; experience in resource planning and influencing organizational priorities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship available.

Salary ranges vary by location and are based on experience and qualifications. For salary ranges outside California, see this link. California salary range: $139,000 - $297,000.
