Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director, Customer Master to lead the Customer MDM domain within the Enterprise MDM organization. You will own the data product, drive cloud modernization, and enable data delivery for analytics and downstream systems like Veeva, Oracle ERP, Snowflake, and Salesforce.
This role requires deep MDM expertise, cross-functional leadership, and a track record in regulated environments.

We are seeking an execution-focused Associate Director, Customer Master to lead the Customer(HCP/HCO) master data domain within Vertex’s Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) organization reporting to the Director, Enterprise MDM. This role will be responsible for one of the most critical and complex data domains at Vertex. The Global Healthcare Entity Master (GHEM) supports a broad range of cross-functional processes and is foundational to commercial operations, analytics, and decision-making. This role will provide end-to-end ownership of the Customer MDM, including the design, build, and ongoing management of the customer master and its published consumption layer for downstream systems and analytics use cases. The role will also drive modernization of the customer master platform through cloud migration, advanced MDM capabilities, and AI/LLM-enabled innovation to improve data quality, automation, and semantic enrichment.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required. 8+ years of experience in Master Data Management 3+ years leading MDM programs/projects Experience in life sciences or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred
Pay Range: $160,000 - $240,000 Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible Flex Eligibility Status: In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select 2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility. Note: The Flex status for this position is subject to Vertex’s Policy on Flex @ Vertex Program and may be changed at any time.
