The Role at a Glance

What you'll be doing

• Support in business development through mortgage banking relationships within assigned geographic territory.
• Underwrite new commercial real estate loans and present analysis and investment recommendations to the Managing Director(s).
• Draft term sheets, applications and other transaction related documents.
• Complete due diligence including review of leases, rent rolls, third party reports, estoppels, and other business-related matters.
• Work with legal counsel to negotiate loan applications.
• Draft investment committee memos and present for approval to the Head of Real Estate.
• Serve as business liaison throughout the loan closing process working collaboratively with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to effectuate a timely closing.
• Acts as a resource in the training and mentoring of junior team members.
• Travels independently on due diligence and business development trips.
• Support Portfolio Management through surveillance of existing loan portfolio.
• Handles special servicing requests as requested.
• Additional investment support may include equity and credit fund investments.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience:

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required
• 4-6+ Years’ experience required in commercial real estate finance and/or commercial real estate investment and analysis that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
• Experience analyzing asset lending transactions.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate principles and valuation methods.
• Knowledge of national commercial real estate markets and macro-economic trends that affect those markets.
• Ability to understand and evaluate real estate financial statements.
• Knowledge of real estate legal concepts and understanding of loan documents.
• Ability to understand and apply financial concepts such as but not limited to Future Value, Present Value, Compound Interest, Discounting, Capitalization Rates, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Costar and Argus preferred.

• The pay range for this position is $79,601 - $145,100 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
