Bowie State University is seeking an Associate Director of the Counseling Psychology Program at Shady Grove. The role focuses on coordinating site operations, outreach, and curriculum oversight for the Counseling Psychology program and the addictions certificate.

The position reports to the Department Chair, with collaboration across the Main Campus and Shady Grove administrators to ensure program success and quality for students and cohorts.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required in mental health counseling, psychology or related field.
• Experience in higher education teaching (full-time or adjunct) is preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally, diplomatically and empathetically.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site operations for Counseling Psychology and Addictions Certificate.
• Advise students in the program and support cohorts at Shady Grove.
• Develop and deliver curriculum offerings for the Shady Grove campus.
