  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise, decision-oriented materials for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the Firm’s strategic plan and support execution against key strategic priorities.
  • Conduct diligence and develop recommendations regarding potential new investment strategies, products, businesses, and other growth opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to build new capabilities, enhance existing capabilities, and improve the Firm’s operating model.
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis, including market research, competitive assessment, financial modeling, and business-case development.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and key stakeholders

Job description

This role offers an opportunity to help shape and execute the strategic priorities of a leading alternative asset manager. The Associate Director will partner with the broader Corporate Strategy team, senior leadership, and subject matter experts across the Firm to evaluate growth opportunities, develop strategic recommendations, and drive execution of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the Firm’s strategic plan and support execution against key strategic priorities.
  • Conduct diligence and develop recommendations regarding potential new investment strategies, products, businesses, and other growth opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to build new capabilities, enhance existing capabilities, and improve the Firm’s operating model.
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis, including market research, competitive assessment, financial modeling, and business-case development.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and key stakeholders
Interfaces

The Associate Director will report to the Head of Strategy and work closely with members of the Corporate Strategy team, senior leadership, the Management and Investment Committees, and subject matter experts across and outside the Firm.

Education, Training, and Experience
  • Experience at a leading strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, or Bain); in a buy-side corporate strategy role; or in a role involving the evaluation of investment strategies, investment managers, or related business opportunities.
  • Candidates with strategy consulting backgrounds must have meaningful experience serving financial-services clients and/or prior experience in financial services
