The Associate Director, Contracts Country Lead, Germany is a highly visible role providing advice and expertise on complex contractual matters. This leader will manage a team of Contracts professionals across several SBUs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness of customer requirements.

This dynamic leadership role involves addressing legacy company culture, process complexities, and integrating a common contractual approach and strategy. The incumbent will identify process issues and enable a culture of continuous improvement. This role is also key in building customer (internal and external) relationships and contractual initiatives, contributing to the 'One Collins' contractual process and culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of Contracts professionals.
  2. Provide strategic direction, ensuring alignment of business goals with contracts organization (member of Senior Contracts Leadership Team).
  3. Implement and execute policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  4. Oversee contract formation, negotiations, and administration within the business.
  5. Drive closure with customers on contractual challenges requiring Contracts Senior Leadership engagement.
  6. Enhance the Contracts Program with the Central Contracts Team.
  7. Lead talent development activities for contracts associates within the business and across the company.
  8. Support the business and mitigate risks when necessary.
  9. Align enterprise activities with customer terms, talent development, processes, and best practices.
  10. Collaborate with leaders across SBUs and the General Counsel.
  11. Coordinate contract activities affecting multiple BUs with the same customer.
  12. Participate in front-end assessments of proposals.
  13. Summarize contractual issues, research compliance, interpret regulations, identify risks, and recommend actions.
  14. Engage in strategy development for business arrangements.
  15. Develop formal contractual correspondence and dispute resolution documentation.
  16. Support audits and customer requests.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 10 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience contracting in manufacturing industries.
  • OEM commercial aerospace experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • This is a remote position, but travel up to 25% to Germany may be required.
