The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for anAssociate Director, Contractswithin the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) area. This role demands a multi-faceted, strategic Contracts Leader to deal with complex situations and creative solutions to support two start-up missile captures inclusive of international work and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs). The candidate’s attributes should include leadership and strong experience with terms and conditions risk assessment and negotiations, understanding the implications of international work, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, subject matter expertise in general contracting, and be able to provide contractual and business guidance to the Capture Management Leadership Teams.
What You Will Do
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
Develop pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development process
Represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while developing and maintaining trusting relationships with complex customer
Minimal domestic travel to customer and Raytheon sites
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Experience in Contracts administration and/or the development of proposals, such as researching, fact-finding and negotiations
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
