General Description:

The Associate Director of Contract Management Solutions will partner with Legal and Procurement operations to manage the end-to-end contract management solution, ensuring it evolves with business needs and technical requirements.

This role centers on ownership of the entire contract management ecosystem while developing a deep understanding of business processes across BeOne Medicine. By seamlessly integrating technical expertise with business acumen, the Associate Director will drive innovations that transform contract processes, improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and strengthen alignment with organizational objectives.

Collaborating closely with Technical and Functional teams, the Associate Director will oversee system administration, monitoring, enhancement initiatives, and maintenance activities—all while maintaining strict adherence to BeOne Medicine's Change Control standards

Essential Functions:

  • Lead implementation and ongoing optimization of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system solutions, including developing comprehensive contract management strategies and plans, conducting thorough current-to-future state gap analyses, creating strategic roadmaps, and establishing standardized system configurations.
  • Execute on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and lead CLM full lifecycle implementation and upgrade projects that encompass the Requirements gathering, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Support phases.
  • Lead technical integrations of CLM with platforms such as Workday, DocuSign, Ariba, and SAP.
  • Harness contract management system data to optimize operations and drive strategic improvements.
  • Manage contract data migration activities, template rationalization efforts, and continuous contract management
  • Implement and optimize AI-powered solutions for contract review, terms analysis, and compliance verification to enhance accuracy while reducing manual effort.
  • Lead innovation initiatives that reimagine contract management processes, leveraging emerging technologies to create intuitive user experiences and breakthrough productivity improvements.
  • Evaluate and implement new CLM solutions, functionalities, and benefits that enhance global contract management capabilities.
  • Support audit activities for CLM and legal systems
  • Optimize and enhance multi-lingual platforms to support global operations.
  • Support global stakeholders with plans to digitize and make available contact templates for worldwide use.
  • Provide guidance on contract management best practices that align with legal standards and compliance requirements, serving as a knowledge resource between technical implementation and legal/regulatory considerations
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of CLM and Legal systems.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships and provide valuable input into contract agreements that deliver mutual benefits while effectively navigating the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage audiences ranging from individual contributors to executive leadership, and articulate complex ideas persuasively and concisely.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of project management methodologies including SCRUM/AGILE, Waterfall, and Critical Chain frameworks.

Daily responsibilities will vary by project, but they may include:

  • Analyzing and documenting current business processes and technologies
  • Designing and testing new business processes, capabilities, and technologies
  • Developing communications and training materials
  • Building key CLM application components
  • Leading program management initiatives

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or other related fields.
  • 8+ years’ experience working as an architect in Contracts and Life Cycle Management.

Other Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in comprehending and translating complex business requirements into an actionable solution that can be built and delivered by IT teams.
  • 7+ years’ experience defining CLM systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures.
  • 7+ years’ experience with one or more CLM platforms such as: Icertis, Agiloft, Coupa, Ariba, or Oracle.
  • 5+ years' experience with legal and/or technology solutions
  • Experience implementing or managing AI technologies for document analysis, particularly in contract review applications.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Ability to work independently in a changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have strong project management experience with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Comprehensive experience across the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, construction, testing, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects and user-testing processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in requirements analysis, rigorous testing, and effective end-user training.
  • Over 3 years of specialized technology experience, particularly in applications supporting Legal and Compliance functions.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on systems implementation experience, ideally on projects within the Legal domain.
  • Previous consulting or client service delivery experience, showcasing strong client relationship management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio, to support complex project needs.
  • Significant experience in data visualization, capable of transforming complex data into actionable insights.
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with contractors, system integrators and vendors.

Travel: Less than 15%

Salary Range: $141,600.00 - $191,600.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
