Job Description Summary

The Associate Director, Commercial Excellence & Operations is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance commercial performance and operational efficiency. This position leads the development and implementation of commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. The role ensures a competitive market presence by optimizing sales processes, improving customer engagement, and leveraging data analytics for informed decision-making. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Associate Director identifies opportunities for growth and innovation, contributing to the company's long-term strategic goals.

The Associate Director reports to the Vice President of Commercial Operations and leads several direct reports, including a Commercial Operations Manager, Sales Analytics Specialist, and Marketing Operations Coordinator. The role requires collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute commercial strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency, translating business objectives into actionable plans with measurable results.
  • Formulate and implement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams for strategy alignment and execution.
  • Evaluate and improve operational processes for efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance, marketing, and product development for cohesive strategy execution.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to achieve integrated solutions and business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the commercial excellence and operations team.
  • Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Lead strategic initiatives supporting long-term business goals.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for strategic planning.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in commercial and operational activities.
Minimum Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales strategy, or business development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and commercial excellence initiatives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • Project Management (PMP) or Six Sigma certification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies.
