Qualifications

  • Experience designing or building edtech tools or digital content.
  • Hands-on experience with tech-enabled tools (e.g., LLMs, prompts, analytics).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver career education programs across webinar, workshop, and short-form video formats.
  • Produce storyboards, scripts, and career education materials.
  • Oversee Canvas LMS content lifecycle, refreshing and creating content.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and integration approaches for leadership.
  • Develop tech-enabled tools supporting career exploration, resumes, networking and interview prep.
  • Source data and feedback to improve tool performance and usability.

About the Role

Columbia Business School is hiring an Associate Director, Career Content to co-design, co-build, and scale edtech tools and online video resources related to the job search experience. Reporting to the Director, Career Education and Advising, you'll design, produce, and continuously improve career education content and digital resources across webinar, workshop, and short-form video formats.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver career education and professional development programs across webinar, workshop, and short-form video formats
  • Produce and update storyboards, scripts, and high-impact career education materials
  • Own and oversee CMC's online learning platform, Canvas, including reviewing, refreshing, and creating content throughout the academic year
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., large language models) and recommend integration approaches to CMC leadership
  • Partner with the Director and team to develop tech-enabled tools supporting students and alumni in career exploration, resume and cover letter optimization, networking, and interview preparation
  • Source data, student feedback, and insights to continuously improve tool performance and usability
  • Analyze engagement metrics (views, completion rates, retention) to continuously refine content quality and delivery format
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing or building edtech tools, online learning resources, or digital content, ideally in a higher education or professional development setting
  • Hands-on experience working with tech-enabled technologies (e.g., large language models, prompt design, automation tools, analytics systems)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
