About The Role

We are seeking an Associate Director, Biostatistics, to lead the implementation of modern and innovative trial/experimental designs, statistical models, analysis, and data exploration methodologies at the study or project level. You will be responsible for all statistical work, scientific and operational, in collaboration with clinical trial teams and other quantitative partners in the full development analytics team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for strategic statistical input and influence into projects (development plan, designing trials, dose-finding, regulatory strategy, publication, pricing & reimbursement strategy, statistical deliverables).
  • Plan and execute statistical analyses and consultations within cross-functional teams.
  • Lead development and implementation of innovation in statistical methodology and trial design.
  • Collaborate with medical and strategic functions to drive quantitative decision making in drug development.
  • Facilitate seamless transition of projects from full to late development.
  • Propose and implement innovative designs and methods to optimize drug development.
  • Manage project activities and resources effectively, partnering with vendors as needed.
  • Partner with other functions to ensure integrated quantitative input into projects.
  • Develop and mentor biostatisticians.

This position is located at the East Hanover, NJ site and is not remote.

Role Requirements

Essential:

  • PhD with 6+ years’ experience or MS with 10+ years’ experience in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of applying statistics and innovative approaches.
  • Influence decision-making impacting projects and department.
  • Strong communication skills bridging scientific and business needs.

Desirable:

  • Experience with late-phase drug development activities.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $145,600 to $270,400/year, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive health and retirement plans. Final salary depends on experience, location, and other factors.
